Kat at As Kat Knits hosts Unraveled Wednesday each week. It’s a fun linkup full of bloggers eager to share what they’re reading and stitching. Please visit Kat and friends and find a ton of inspiration!
Finished Reading This Week:
Nothing! I’ve been listening to Barack Obama’s new book when I can and it’s excellent. It’s also a behemoth and will take me a bit to get through.
Stitching This Week:

Friends, I’ve finished the quilting section on my scrappy crossroads!! It still needs binding, but I hauled it out of the basement to get some pictures and to measure it. It’s 80×96, which makes it queen sized. You might remember that it was much larger about a year ago, but I took off a row and a column. Those blocks are waiting to be put together as a mini quilt. Once it’s totally finished, I’ll put together a post about the specifics of the project. I’m just thrilled I made it to this point!
My other projects are also coming along – I’ve finished sewing the aqua hexies on my epp project and have started sewing on a ring of white hexies. That ring that will be trimmed up to give the quilt straight edges because I can’t bear the thought of trimming any of the aqua.
Next week I hope to share pictures of my cross-stitch project. There’s just nothing worthwhile to share yet, given how slowly my work has been. I’m hoping to finish it by Christmas to give to my husband (or, really, just to hang up on his side of the bed because he really doesn’t care, ha!). I’m sure that’s optimistic so my realistic goal is to have it finished by his birthday in March. And I am ogling a ton of new projects!
Okay – my time is short this morning because it’s been a bit off-kilter. I almost didn’t make it here at all! I can’t wait to catch up with you all soon. I won’t be back tomorrow, but I hope my friends in the US have the best Thanksgiving that’s possible Right Now. Cheers!
Your quilt is beautiful, I love it!!!!! It’s so bright and happy, what a cheerful quilt to use on the bed during the sunless days of winter. Have a lovely day and enjoy your time off from school this week!

Thanks, Kat! The rules of chess are so complicated – but it’s always fun to watch masters at their art!
