It’s hard to narrow down this list to just 10 books! My TBR runneth over and my book slump is starting to fade, so you know what that means… let the manic spring reading season begin!
Most of these books aren’t 2019 releases because I am perpetually behind. Maybe one day I’ll be the kind of person who feels caught up and reads the most recently released titles, but I don’t think that’s going to happen anytime soon. I find an author that I enjoy and then I eat up that person’s backlist!
As you can see, I’m still working my way through Marilynne’s Robinson’s fiction. I have one waiting on my bedside cart as we speak – I can’t wait to get to it!!
Thank you to Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl for hosting this week’s Top 10 Tuesday! I can’t wait to explore some of your links and find even more books to add my list!
Have you read any of these? What are your thoughts about my list?!

I loved Housekeeping and Eleanor Oliphant. I hope you enjoy both of them!

Yes! I don’t know what my deal is because I love Anne Lamott so much. I guess the time just hasn’t been right yet!

Although I haven’t read The Historian, I’ve heard great things about it and always meant to. The Shadow Land looks really beautiful and like it’ll be just as good.

Thanks for your link!
I’m currently reading Devoted by the same author of Inheritance and it’s so good. I’m hoping Inheritance is the same!

Housekeeping and Eleanor Oliphant are both good. I read Convenience Store Woman (and loved it) after a tweet someone posted saying it was a good one to read after Eleanor Oliphant. (They were right). The Housekeeping movie is good too–Judi Dench.

There There came out last year, so you’re not too far behind. I like to mix it up with old and new titles.
I haven’t read any of these, but I hope you like them!

Thanks! You’re right – not everything I read is decades old!! 😝

Ironically I stumbled across your post as I’m internally debating what book to read next, and Housekeeping is one of the ones I’m thinking of. I haven’t read any other books of hers but I know that one was my mom’s favorite of hers, and this just got me all excited about Marilynne Robinson books. I’m about to look through your blog now because it must be fate!
