Earlier this week I wrote about my Classics Club Spin List. The Classics Club picked #3, which means that I’ll be reading The Tenant of Wildfell Hall! I really wanted to purchase this beautiful clothbound edition, but chose to be economical and went with a $.99 Kindle edition instead, haha.
I have to admit, I’m a bit intimidated by this one. I get overwhelmed by the language used and find myself not paying attention to books like these sometimes, but I’ve gotten a lot of encouragement on Twitter and people seem to think it’s a real treat, so I’m going to barrel through confidently. I hope.
Here’s to cuddling up during these last few weeks of winter and delving into another Bronte head first! I’ve never read an Anne Bronte, so I’m excited to see how she compares with Charlotte and Emily. From the small bit of research that I’ve done, it looks like her style was very different, which would be a welcome change for me. I can’t say that I particularly enjoyed Wuthering Heights (which I recently reread) or Jane Eyre (which I read in high school but is on my classics club list waiting for a reread as an adult), so it would be awesome if I found that I just love Anne!
Tenant is a great story, & Anne is lovely. Strong and fierce, I think. I hope you enjoy. 🙂

I hope you do find you love it! I haven’t read it either, so I look forward to hearing your thoughts on it, and seeing if you persuade me that I should… 🙂
