A few weeks ago I shared that September is a hard month for me, but it's for a silly reason. This is the time of year when I go into major angst mode about next year's notebooks. Every week I think I have it figured out, and then I change my mind again. And again.... Continue Reading →
A Sunday Poem – Birdsong
What do the tall trees sayTo the late havocs in the sky? They sigh. The air moves, and they sway. When the breeze on the hillIs still, then they stand still. They wait. They have no fear. Their fateIs faith. BirdsongIs all they've wanted, all along. This Day: Collected & New Sabbath Poems by Wendell Berry An introduction to today's post... Continue Reading →
Friday Cozies – Week 39 of 2020
Friends, we've made it to another Friday. There seems to be no reprieve from heartache, injustice, and fear this year; yet I'm trying to do my job as a mother: to give my children a safe and cozy place to learn and grow and to live a life that makes the world a better place. There's a lot of work to do. But on Fridays I share some of the pictures I've taken throughout the last week and write a few words about what's been going on around The Cozy Burrow, so let's catch up a bit.

A Note About Comments
Hi Friends, Today I'm checking in about some changes I'm making in the comments section of my blog. In the past, I've always replied to everyone directly in the comment section so that my response is visible to anyone else who reads the comment section. I like doing this because I hope it will spark... Continue Reading →
A Look Into Our Notebooks – Week 38 of 2020
My 2021 notebook angst continues! I'm at a crossroads this week and am working through two formats. Keep reading to take a peek at what I've been working on. I'll start out by saying that my journaling streak is now one week longer (today is Day 169)! And I've continued using my Hobonichi Weeks for... Continue Reading →
A Sunday Poem – Wendell Berry on Hope
At least, I hope that Wendell Berry is writing about hope in this poem, because otherwise it feels as though life might be pretty useless. So I'm going to cling to the few sentences of hope that I see in this poem because it's been another gut-wrenching week all around. Here by the road where... Continue Reading →

A Look Into Our Notebooks – Week 37 of 2020
On Mondays I like to take a look at last week's spread in my notebook. I'm back into my Hobonichi Weeks and tracking my writing time, habits, daily/weekly tasks, and meals. Meal tracking is new for me and I'm doing it because I'm slowly working towards a more plant based diet. Please read more to... Continue Reading →
