Offer

Today I’m linking up with the Five Minute Friday community. FMF is a weekly linkup that provides a prompt (this week is OFFER) and invites bloggers to set a timer for five minutes and WRITE.

For weeks I’ve been debating whether to rejoin the Five Minute Friday linkup. It’s been a couple of years since I’ve participated and I never quite felt like I belonged. What could a questioning, seeking, not-quite-comfortable-with-uncertainty blogger offer to this group of bloggers who are comfortable expressing their beliefs?

Well, maybe at least something a little different?

This is a journey for me. I’m seeking a community of people who are kind, devoted, and encouraging. So here I am – offering myself to the universe and seeking like-minded travelers.

Well, that was a slow and halting five minutes of writing! I suppose an introduction back into this community would need to be.

Happy Friday, friends. I hope you’ve all survived your week relatively unscathed and will be greeted with a refreshing and reviving weekend!

  1. Katie, I enjoyed your offering. FMF is one of my most favorite writing exercises of the week. I like the challenge. I don’t go to the Twitter parties because I’m usually asleep by the time Kate says the word! I suggest when you link up? Use your bio photo week after week after week – then we will get to know you! (just OFFERing a suggestion!)

  2. Hi Katie,
I am so glad you did link up as I usually try to make a new friend here. So may I say, “Nice to meet you!” I hope you will continue to offer your writing here as we never know who we may encourage, motivate, or inspire with our words. May you just write, offer it up, and let God do what He will with your offering. He often does the unexpected and unknown, bringing joy along the way!

  4. So glad to see you here again, Katie!

When I saw “The Cozy Burrow”
    I had to double-check,
’cause I THOUGHT it “Nosy Burro”
and it made me think of Shrek.
    Now Donkey is a favourite
and the nickname for my wife,
which makes her claim – now wait for it
that I don’t value my life.
But honestly, he’s more like me,
    high spirited and annoying,
    singing along with the TV,
    and with puns so soul-destroying.
Enjoying life this much is prob’ly unlawful,
but until they catch me, I’m making WAFFLES!

    #1 at FMF this week.
