Thank you to the Modern Mrs. Darcy for hosting this monthly linkup! If you are looking for some book recommendations, click on over to her post and find plenty of dedicated readers with some incredible books.
I’ve had a slow reading month. I wrote about my yearly March reading slump here. I still can’t figure out why March presents such a challenge to me, yet it does in so many ways. But when I find a good book to curl into it feels that much sweeter. Here are two that I wasn’t able to put down.

This is the third book in Robinson’s Gilead series and here is my blog post about it. This series has been incredible and I’m so glad I worked up the nerve to start reading it. Lila is such a fascinating character!

How the Light Gets In by Louise Penny
Can we say it together? “This was the best one yet!” Three Pines and Armand Gamache are a match made in Heaven and I’m happy that I stuck with this series after feeling disappointed by the first two. The murders get better and the characters get stronger with each additional novel.
Have you read these? Any recommendations for me? Any ideas about how to get out of my own slump? I’d love to chat in the comments below!!
I have no idea how to get out of the slump, am also in one myself.

I’m sorry. It always helps me to know that at some point, the slump WILL end… but it can be upsetting when you’re in the middle of it!!

Yes, I think it is also connected to what kinds of books I am reading, sometimes it is hard getting into the next book when I finish a heavy book.
