Hobonichi Weeks – Weeks 12 and 13 of 2020

Oh my goodness, hello! I didn’t blog at all last week and I apologize. Thank you for all of the emails and comments that you sent to check in. I have been very sick! I felt a bit better last week, but my cough always seems to worsen at night which has made it difficult to sleep, which then made it difficult to wake up early enough to squeeze in any blogging time. I’m hoping to slowly get back on track this week!

I’m combining weeks 12 and 13 into this one post. You can see how sick I was in week 12 – I couldn’t even finish that week’s entry! Those are the only blank days I have in this notebook so far. But despite not blogging at all during week 13, I was able to keep up with my daily reflection.

It’s really nice having the boys at home and remote learning is going well, despite a few hiccups here and there. I’ve been doing a good job of setting my housework expectations low – I’m getting the bare minimum done and have been okay with that. Things have been pleasantly busy and combined with how sick I’ve been, my reading output has been very low over the last couple of weeks. But I’ve been curled up with a hot cups of tea overflowing with honey to help my throat, so I’ve managed to stay crazy cozy despite going through ALL of my handkerchiefs!

I don’t have this week’s hobonichi spread set up yet and I hope to do that today. I’m also desperately behind on reading blogs, so please be patient with me. I’m going to do my best to get back on track with blogging and writing, so I hope at least my morning routine will be back to normal soon. I guess I really don’t have too much to say today but wanted to get back into the swing of things before I really lost my blogging way!

I hope you all are doing well and I can’t wait to catch up with you. This is been such a bizarre and scary time — I hope you all are finding ways to stay cozy and calm. I am thankful for you all!

  1. I’m sorry to hear you were sick and am happy that you’re feeling better! Catch up as you can, but remember not to overdo it. It’s really important to put yourself and your health first right now!
