I can’t start every Monday morning with an exclamation about how quickly the year is going by, especially given that the whole point of these Monday posts are about making the most of every day! So I’ll just say here we are. We are starting a new week!

Last week I started a habit tracker in addition to my task checker-offer. I realized that I’d been tracking all of the work that I do every week (probably to make myself feel better about no longer having a paying job), but wasn’t tracking anything I was doing for myself. And this is why I like breaking the month into weekly chunks – because I threw in that tracker on Tuesday and was easily able to fill in my Monday habits. If I’d thought of it this week and then tried to go back and fill in the rest of February? I’d be toast.
In addition to doing so much that filled my own bucket, I got nearly all of my chores done last week! I can’t explain it other than I’ve been doing things totally differently these last few weeks – taking the time to reflect on everything that I was able to accomplish each evening seems to give me the push to do it again the next day.

Week 9 is ready to go. Would you look at that? The first day of March is on Sunday! We’ve nearly made it through one of the most difficult months of the year. Spring is coming!
Looks like you’re doing great on your steps! š Chasing kids should be a separate category of exercise. And just wanted to say that the habit of daily gratitudes and of appreciating oneself and one’s accomplishments is incredibly powerful fuel, in my experience. The latter is harder for me than the former, but when I do it it definitely expands my universe of possibility. Onward!

It’s amazing how many steps I get now that I don’t sit at a desk all day! You’re totally right about the daily habit of gratitude and appreciating accomplishments – I think I accidentally fell into this practice and it’s making a world of difference!

I like the idea of a habit tracker! I have gotten away from that, but it is an excellent reminder of how well they work! And, scheduling “me time” is necessary for ones well-being! Happy Monday and here is to a productive and fulfilling week!
