Library Checkout: July 2018

librarycheckout2

Thanks to Laila at Big Reading Life, I just learned about the coolest monthly meme: Library Checkout! There’s no linkup this month, but the idea is for people to share what they’ve gotten from the library over the last few weeks. I love my public library – even if I mostly use their digital services – so I’m excited to share what I’ve found lately!

Library Books Read

  • A Trick of the Light by Louise Penny – loved this! It’s the 7th in the Inspector Armand Gamache series and I just fall harder for Three Pines with every book!

Currently Reading

  • A Darker Shade of Magic by VE Schwab – I’m listening to this on audio, but don’t really have much time to listen to audiobooks these days. This book isn’t available at either my public library or on overdrive as an ebook, so I think I’m going to end up buying a copy!

Checked Out – To Be Read

  • Warlight by Michael Ondaatje
  • Princess Elizabeth’s Spy: A Maggie Hope Mystery by Susan Elia MacNeal
  • The Beautiful Mystery by Louise Penny
  • The Female Persuasion by Meg Wolitzer
  • The Death of Mrs. Westaway by Ruth Ware

Holds

  • The Hazel Wood by Melissa Albert
  • Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman

Returned Unfinished

  • Detective Inspector Huss by Helene Tursten – a cozy Swedish mystery that I had a hard time getting into.
  • Before the Fall by Noah Hawley – this was an audiobook and I simply ran out of time!

I’m trying to decide which of the checked out books I should read as soon as I finish what I’m working on right now. Anything jump out at you??!
