Baileys Women’s Prize for Fiction 2017 Longlist!!!

Happy International Women’s Day!  And you know what else that means, right?  The Baileys Women’s Prize for Fiction longlist is released!!  Every year I say that I’m going to read the longlist for some prize and I never follow through with it.  But this is my year and my list, I can just feel it!

Here’s my plan: I’m going to start on the longlist now (or well, tonight after I get out of work, clean the house, and put the boys to bed).  On April 3rd, the shortlist will be announced, so I’ll switch gears and focus on those.  If I make it through the shortlist before the winner is announced on June 7th, then I will return to the longlist and get through as many of those picks as I can and try to make a prediction!  Wish me luck 🙂

There are only 16 books on this year’s longlist AND a few of them are already on my TBR list – this is going to be a fun few months!  Now it’s time to check out my public library and see how many I can reserve!
