Books With Single Word Titles

This week’s topic from Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl is Books with Single Word Titles. How fun! I went through my notebook of books and found all of the single word titles that I’ve completed since 2017. Enjoy!

Plainsong by Kent Haruf | Matilda by Roald Dahl | Inheritance by Dani Shapiro | Autumn by Ali Smith |Home by Marilynne Robinson | Devotion by Dani Shapiro| Lila by Marilynne Robinson | Melmoth by Sarah Perry | Educated by Tara Westover | Gilead by Marilynne Robinson | Transcription by Kate Atkinson | Thornyhold by Mary Stewart | Carthage by Joyce Carol Oates | Attachments by Rainbow Rowell | Cinder by Marissa Meyer | Winter by Marissa Meyer | Becoming by Michelle Obama | Faithful by Alice Hoffman | Warlight by Michael Ondaatje

Phew! Do you see any of your favorites here? This was a lot of fun for me. I love looking over my old book lists and I’d forgotten about so many of these. It reminded me that I have a few series to finish!

  1. Great list of titles to add to my TBR list…several I’ve already read; 2 of my faves: Becoming and tho’ not on your list (yet?) Dani Shapiro’s Inheritance. Memoir is a fave category for me.

    1. I must have missed Inheritance because I loved that one, too! Devotion by Shapiro was also amazing. And Becoming was so important for me to read in this political climate — there’s so much hope in the world!
