Happy Monday, friends! I am so happy to say that I scheduled today off from work and now it is NAP TIME, which gives me a chance to publish a few blog posts that I’ve been itching to write. It was hard to know where to start because I have so much to share, but I thought it would make sense to start with my June Bullet Journal set up before it gets too far into June to be worthwhile.
I still love using my bullet journal. Every month, every week, every day I can decide exactly how I need to set up my plan. How amazing is that? I’m not stuck with a single weekly layout that just doesn’t work for me. I get to decide!
This month I got inspiration from @honeyrozes on Instagram. She has been using a monthly brain dump, which is just what I need right now. I’m trying to reenergize my blog and my brain is swimming with about a million different ideas. If I don’t write them down, then they just disappear. After I write them down, I do my best to refer to them daily and try to decide what I can move over to my daily to-do list so that I can start checking them off. On the next page of the spread, I have a simple monthly schedule and use it for anything out of the ordinary that might come up. I keep an electronic calendar at work and use that for any long-term planning, but like to have something paper to refer to when I’m working on my dailies.
The second part of my spread is my Goals and Gratitude pages. Every month I try to come up with a few major goals that are easily measurable and achievable. I know that they are achievable if I can literally check them off at the end of the month. I try to break down my larger goals into objectives that help me get there (sort of like a treatment plan). And again – I try to refer to this regularly to see what I can add to my daily to-do list. The gratitude page is just a line a day that allows me to jot down one little thing that happened during the day that brought me joy. It’s fun to refer back to when I’m feeling down. It’s amazing how often I’ll completely forget about something that I’ve written here!
Later this month I’ll check back in and let you know how it’s going. I’ll also share some of my dailies as I go on, too!
The links below will take you to some of my favorite bullet journaling supplies. Please note that these are affiliate links, which means that I’ll get paid a small amount of money if you decide to buy one of these. Thank you in advance!
That’s awesome you’ve found a system that appears to be working for you. I don’t think BuJos are for me, but I do use a weekly planner paper printed out and taped to my cabinet – and I have a paper day planner too. So I’m a paper and pen reminder kinda gal!
