Hi Friends! I am linking up with Kate Motaung’s Five Minute Friday again this week! The purpose is to get a one word prompt, set a timer for 5 minutes, and free flow!
This week’s prompt is: CHEER
CHEER is perfect for today! It’s my last day at my full time job. I have been feeling guilty about not spending much time blogging, but I have been writing SO much – mostly in my paper journal, and plotting what my life will be like when I am working only part time. So CHEER, it is!
CHEER for spending more time with my sweet little baby boys and my husband. CHEER for spending more time caring for my home and feeling happy and proud of the little corner of the world that we’ve carved out for ourselves. CHEER for more time focusing on the things that are bringing me joy! Children, husband, home, reading, writing, planning! CHEER for not supervising any employees anymore, which makes my current job unbearable for me. CHEER for finding a job that is basically my dream job, both in tasks and hours. CHEER for surviving the last three years in a job that is so far out of my comfort zone that it has literally been painful for me.
So that’s definitely a lot of cheering, which feels strange. But I’m amazed that this is the prompt for today, because I would have had a really hard time finding anything to cheer about on the last few Fridays, which have been so difficult for me.
Oh, and CHEER for leaving for St. Croix is less than 24 hours to celebrate an ending and a beginning!
